How to Install Connected Business through Bootstrap Installer

1. Go to Support Portal (http://my.connectedbusiness.com/clientarea.php) and log in using your account

2. Once logged in, go to Support > Downloads > Software > Connected Business > Select your version installer

3. Upon clicking the link(s), you should be able to download Installer Setup associated with it. e.g. cbentsetup.exe

4. Run the installer as an administrator

5.  Before installation can proceed, you can either read or copy and save the License Agreement. Scroll down to the end of the document to accept and proceed.

6. Select where to download the installation files. Click Browse to specify the location. By default, this is set to the same folder where the installer is stored. Click Next.

7. Once done, select Run Connected Business Enterprise Installer now and click Finish

8. The bootstrap installer will load.

9. Click the Refresh button to load the latest version or select from the drop-down which version you need to install.

10. Tick Select All modules to include all modules or features available. Then, remove some features you deem not needed. If installing server components, select all components. On the server machine, the databases, website, various web services, and other components are installed

11. Click Next. You may now connect to your SQL Server instance. Choose an authentication method to use in connecting. We recommend using SQL Server Authentication. Then, provide the user and password accordingly. The SQL Server is used primarily to store the Connected Business databases and retrieve data

12. Select where to download the installation files. Click Browse to specify the location. By default, this is set to the same folder where the installer is stored

13. Click Install to proceed with the installation. The installer will download, extract, and install the application.

14. Once done, you may now run the application

15. A connection setting for the demo database is created allowing you to log in to Connected Business and use a test database. This applies only to the machine where the database was created
