Job Service and Email Service Core Edition Error: ‘Reason: Cannot open database. Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'.’

 

Synopsis

Running Job Service Manager and Email Service on Core Edition display this error: 

Reason: Cannot open database "ISSIDEMOUS(20)" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'.

 

 

 

Job Service Workaround Solution:

 

1. Install Job Service Manager by typing in Connected Job Manager in the Start option or by clicking Interprise.Presentation.JobManager in your Connected Business Installation Folder

2. Set Start Type to Manual

 

3. Open Task Manager by either pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete > Select Task Manager or typing in Task Manager in the Start Search field

     

 

4. Open Services > Look for the Job Service Manager (ConnectedBusinessAutomationServiceManager_20) > Right-click and select Properties.

 

5. Click Log On tab > Choose This account: option > Enter your Windows User Account and Password > Apply and Ok

6. Go back and right-click on the Service. Then, select Start.

 

Email Service Workaround Solution:

 

1. Install Email Service through typing in Connected Email Manager in the Start option or by clicking Interprise.Service.EmailManager in your Connected Business Installation Folder

2. Set Start Type to Manual

 

3. Open Task Manager by either pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete > Select Task Manager or typing in Task Manager in the Start Search field

4. Open Services > Look for the Email Service Manager (ConnectedBusinessEmailServiceManager_20) > Right-click and select Properties.

5. Click Log On tab > Choose This account: option > Enter your Windows User Account and Password > Apply and Ok

6. Go back and right-click on the Service. Then, select Start.
