Cannot Run Job Service in CB14 and 15


The permission and database connection of the Job Service was already set up properly. However, when starting the Job Service, it will not run and freezes. Checking the Windows Event Viewer, it will show the error message below:

Service cannot be started. System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Interprise.Service.JobManager.JobManager.get_CurrentRow() at Interprise.Service.JobManager.JobManager.get_IdleTime() at Interprise.Service.JobManager.JobManager..ctor(DataSet jobServiceSetup) at Interprise.Service.JobManager.JobService.IntializeService() at Interprise.Service.JobManager.JobService.OnStart(String[] args) at System.ServiceProcess.ServiceBase.ServiceQueuedMainCallback(Object state)


When the service is started, it looks for the file "Interprise.Service.JobManager.Configuration.xml" under the folder location C:\Windows\system32 and for some reason, the file does not exist in that location. To resolve this, open the Connected Business installation folder and look for the file "Interprise.Service.JobManager.Configuration.xml" and copy and paste this in the location C:\Windows\system32. Then, try to start the job service again
