Cause:

The query was canceled because the estimated cost of the query exceeds the configured threshold

 

Solution:

Using SQL Server Management Studio, configure the query governor cost limit option

  1. In the Object Explorer, right-click the Server and select Properties. Click the Connections page.
  2. Select or clear the Use query governor to prevent long-running queries checkbox. If you select this checkbox, in the box below, enter a positive value, which the query governor uses to disallow execution of any query with a running length exceeding that value.
